Team Bios

Coach Cole Starr is a passionate and energetic coach who brings a fresh perspective and a player-first mindset to the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club Academy program. He will be working with our U8–U11 players, helping lay the foundation for technical growth, creativity, and a lifelong love for the game.

Coach Cole comes to VHSC with experience coaching both club and high school soccer. He’s led girls teams at Briarwood Soccer Club across several age groups and currently serves as the Head Coach for the Spain Park High School Freshman Boys team—a role he’s held since 2023. In Spring 2025, he also worked with the Spain Park Girls Soccer program, further showcasing his ability to connect with and develop young athletes.

Since 2019, Cole has also coached at the Mike Getman Soccer Camp each summer, where he’s worked with players of all levels in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. His enthusiasm, attention to detail, and focus on individual development make him a great fit for the VHSC Academy model.

Cole is excited to be part of the VHSC coaching family and looks forward to helping each player grow in confidence, character, and skill.
